Summer Student JobThe Head Lifeguard/instructor provides services to patrons of the facility that includes directing, scheduling, training and supporting all lifeguards on staff, including Junior Lifeguards, educating about pool safety, preventing unsafe activities and behaviors, intervening and providing assistance for patrons having difficulty or in distress and administering first aid as required. This is a seasonal position with the Town of Assiniboia for the months of May to August. Includes working mornings days, evenings and weekends.
Experience and Qualifications
Preference will be given to someone who has a High School diploma or GED with aspirations for college or university advancement.
Preference will be given to someone with a minimum of 2 years previous lifeguarding experience
National Lifesaving Society (NLS) or Red Cross Lifeguard Certification, Lifesaving Instructor (LSI) or Red Cross Water Safety Instructor (WSI),
Standard First Aid (SFA), CPR Level C, AED, Bronze Medallion, Bronze Cross.
