We are seeking a leader who can articulate a bold, positive vision for UR Pride within both the campus and the broader communities it serves. You want to make a difference in the lives of 2SLGBTQ+ people in Saskatchewan. You love managing and supporting a team of passionate, unique people. You have a wide range of leadership skills that will help you be successful in an executive role.
You know you are the right candidate for this position because you:
Possess a solid grasp of the operational, legal and administrative aspects of running a non-profit organization, including an understanding of the Saskatchewan Non-Profit Act;
Understand how to work with staff and ensure compliance with relevant policies, procedures and legislation;
Are able to balance two separate components of the organization: campus programming and community programming;
Have experience supervising and managing diverse teams, while queering or challenging normative HR practices;;
Possess an understanding of bookkeeping and financial management, including creating and maintaining budgets;
Have experience working with a Board of Directors;
Know how to develop, monitor, facilitate, supervise and evaluate programs and projects;
Can assess risk when making decisions impacting the organization;
Have experience with media and public speaking;
Stay up-to-date on social and political issues impacting 2SLGBTQ+ communities;
Are passionate about anti-oppressive, anti-colonial, anti-racist and feminist practices and issues
