Description

The Feedlot Accounting Clerk role is a key member of our Finance and Admin team, responsible for compiling operational data related to feedlot operations, processing accounts payable and receivable and reception support duties. The position is highly service oriented and reliant on strong working relationships with operational teams in the feedlot, mill and ethanol plant.

This position is part-time at 32 hours per week.

Key Duties:
-    Daily preparation and entry of data related to feedlot operations, including preparation and verification of cattle purchase and sale information, daily feeding data and preparation and verification of Cash Tickets.
-    Completion of month-end activities related to feedlot in coordination with Accounting & Business Admin and CFO.
-    Data entry and compilation of seasonal reporting, such as manure application and straw, custom baling, silage and grass operational reports.  
-    Shared reception duties including answering phones and assisting suppliers or customers on-site.
-    Provide support for Receptionist and Financial Accounting Clerk, including processing of accounts payable and accounts receivable invoices.
-    Other duties as required.

Requirements:
-    Formal administration training required
-    Good working knowledge of computers and accounting programs
-    Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and Access
-    Experience with accounting software, preferably Sage 300 ERP
-    Agriculture background
