STEP is currently recruiting for a Director, Manufacturing & Technology, as part of our dynamic team of international marketing professionals.
Reporting to the Senior Vice President, Trade Development, the Director, Manufacturing & Technology will develop and implement strategies and initiatives that promote, encourage and facilitate growth in international business development within the key Saskatchewan manufacturing and technology sectors. Your role will be to work with Saskatchewan companies in the areas of the supply and services supporting the agricultural equipment, primary and secondary building products, construction equipment, and industrial equipment sectors. The Director will develop strategies to expand networks, contacts and business opportunities to enhance the trade potential of STEP member companies. Working with Saskatchewan exporting companies, the Director will develop strategic plans for market penetration and development through analysis, market intelligence gathering and initiatives aimed at successfully winning sales, contracts and projects by STEP members. This is a management level position with direct reports. Interested candidates should state their salary expectations.
In addition to qualities noted above, you need to posses other knowledge, skills and abilities such as:
- University degree in Commerce or Business, preferably with a focus on International Sales and Marketing, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- Minimum of five years of relevant work experience in marketing or sales in an international environment
- Managerial experience
- Strong knowledge of Saskatchewan export capabilities
