Reporting directly to the Office Manager, Department of Finance and Operations, this position performs and coordinates routine and preventative maintenance and repair procedures on community clinic buildings, Battle River Treaty 6 Health Centre, mechanical equipment, and utility systems in accordance with Occupational Health and Safety Standards.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Related Trade, Building, or Facility Maintenance Certificate is an asset, with three years of related experience in building and mechanical equipment maintenance and repair; or an acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Experience and knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety standards. Relevant training and experience required.
* Proficient in the use of hand and power tools ie: drills, skill saw, zip grinder, grass whip
* Must possess a valid Class 5 Saskatchewan drivers license
* Must provide a successful criminal record check with vulnerable sector
* Must be able to work independently and with minimal supervision
* Must be capable of handling heavy loads, ladder work, and digging
* Demonstrate an understanding of the health and social issues encountered by First Nation people and a willingness to learn about and accept First Nations cultures
