Ardel Steel has established a solid reputation in the fabrication, distribution and installation of reinforcing steel and related products in Saskatchewan.
Reporting to the Branch Manager, this position will perform a number of duties related to estimating and sales. Their primary responsibility to apply competitive pricing to projects while maintaining company profitability and building relationships with the construction community to ensure that we are a supplier of choice.
Position Functions:
* Generate contract sales to meet or exceed budget (cold calls and follow-up on quotes)
* Investigate & acquire tender documents for upcoming projects and sales opportunities
* Provide complete and accurate reinforcing steel estimates
* Follow up & investigate the status of all projects bid
* Gather pricing for special order materials
* Ensure that any information that may affect pricing accounted for in estimates
* Reviews scope of work, specifications and addendums for respective projects to ensure accurate breakdown of material as required and makes changes as required.

Qualifications:
* Minimum Grade 12 Education with a preference to any post-secondary education or technical diploma related to engineering or construction
* Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD, Rebar CAD and MS Office
* Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, electrical, production and mechanical blueprints
* Understanding of general construction practices (specifically concrete construction)
