The Project Manager is responsible for managing company projects for major accounts. Duties include planning, implementing, and executing complex moves and internal projects involving all types of freight. This position requires excellent communication skills, effective time management and developed leadership skills.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES
Quote, plan, manage and execute major projects within North America
Act as liaison between the company and project clients
Primary point of contact for major projects including with regulatory agencies
Supervise, evaluate, and provide professional development opportunities for project coordinators
Oversee all projects being executed by the projects department
Communicate and explain necessary information to drivers, dispatchers, planners, permit coordinators and management
Nurture and maintain relationships with key accounts and maintain positive company image
Hold toolbox meetings and ensure site safety requirements are communicated to all parties
Interpret and resolve issues regarding planning loads, scheduling loads, and loading and unloading shipments
Review and resolve inconsistencies regarding charges and invoices from key accounts
Develop new work methods and procedures to maintain adherence to rules, regulations, and operation efficiency
Identify and develop KPIs for measuring performance and develop associated reports
