The Rural Municipality of Arborfield is accepting applications for the position of a temporary part-time Assistant Administrator to cover a maternity leave. This position is to begin beginning of May, 2021 and continue for up to 12 months, with the possibility of an extension into permanent work. The applicant must be self-motivated and, under the direction of the Administrator, will provide support for all aspects of Municipal administrative duties including but not limited to:
- Reception duties
- Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable including cash-out and receipts
- Accurate filing & record keeping for ratepayers, employees and council
- Office Inventory and basic office maintenance
- Other duties as assigned by Council and/or the Administrator
The preferred candidate should possess the following qualifications:
- Relevant work experience in an office environment
- Strong computer skills including experience with Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Must be able to work independently and within a team.
Generally, hours for this position will be 2 or 3 days a week during office hours. May be required to work a few 5 day weeks to keep office open or if the work load requires it.
