Description

SGGS Enterprises Ltd. in construction and service industry has an immediate opening for a Material purchasing officer in Shellbrook, Saskatchewan.

Position: Material purchasing officer
Start Date: Immediate
Shift(s) if applicable: full-time
Wage: $30.00/hour, 30-40 hours/week

Duties and Responsibilities:
    Sourcing materials and tools from a variety of suppliers to be used in the building construction;
    Maintain adequate construction material and equipment in stock;
    Negotiate prices, discounts, credit terms and transportation arrangements with suppliers;
    Establish and maintain contact with suppliers;
    Review requirements of establishment and determine quantity and type of merchandise to purchase;
    Establish delivery schedule in order to effectively manage supply chain;
    Resolve problems with suppliers and deliveries.

Qualifications and Skills:
Completion of secondary school

Experience:
Minimum one year purchasing experience is required
