The Dietitian is responsible for planning and directing patients' dietary and food needs throughout the organization. This includes advising staff on nutritional principles, food selection, food preparation, and establishing nutritional plans on a case-by-case basis. The Dietitian conducts his or her duties in strict accordance with physician directions, organizational policies, and safety procedures. The Dietitian will achieve these goals by reviewing all menus and ensuring compliance with nutritional standards.
Qualifications
Work requires bachelor's degree in dietetics or nutrition or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
Advanced knowledge of principles, processes, and practices in Dietetics and/or nutrition.
Demonstrated aptitude with large-scale food planning, menu planning, diet therapy, food cost control, and working with special dietary needs.
Ability to assess, develop, implement and evaluate care plans for nutritional needs based on individual patient/resident requirements.
Excellent ability to manage high-stress or highly emotional situations in pursuance of positive outcomes.
Proficient with PC operation, including word processing, spreadsheets, and proprietary healthcare software.
Excellent oral communication and written communication skills.
Sound judgment and able to execute decisions efficiently.
Utilize discretion, tact, diplomacy, and respect when dealing with others.
Strong customer service orientation.
Ability to work safely.
Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.
Must possess a valid drivers license
