LOCATION    Saskatoon (remote at first, but will need to be on site post covid)

End Date    December 31, 2021 (with a possibility 2, 1 year extensions)
Job Description:
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Mainframe Programmer responsibilities include the creation and implementation of incidents & enhancements to the existing application in support of business requests. This includes business process changes, regulatory requirements, and break fixes, as well as application maintenance activities, such as system monitoring, recovery, problem analysis and resolution, and end user support. In addition, the programmer is responsible for estimation of work assignment, development and status on deliverables, support for release activities (including implementation planning), support for functional and business testing, post release support to the user community as well as participation in team meetings as required. After hours on call is required, after an initial period. Resource must meet incident and enhancement targets for response and resolution times. Resource must adhere to all team processes.

Resource must have some experience in programming skills in: Natural/Adabas, SQL, Job Control Language (JCL), as well as demonstrated verbal and written communication skills with both technical and client teams.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:  

Bachelor's Degree
Preference will be given to candidates with at least 5 years experience in Natural/Adabas
At least 5 years experience in JCL (Job Control Language)
- At least 5 years experience in TSO  
- Some experience with Cobol
Excellent customer service skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills and telephone habits
