Avenue Living Communities, a fast-paced, fast-growing owner and operator of apartment buildings in Western Canada is looking for a Temporary Journeyperson Electrician to assist our Swift Current team. This is a three (3) month contract with the possibility of extension.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
Pull electrical permits.
Install, examine, replace, and repair and maintain electrical systems as per requirements of the electrical code and certification.
Upgrade electrical systems in residential structures.
Bend and Install surface mount electrical conduit.
Upgrade electrical system from the new breaker panels to each new outlet, switch and fixture in every suite.
Pull, splice, and terminate wires.
Read blueprints, schematics, and drawing.
Test and measure voltage loads and faults of circuits.
Install replace and repair electrical controls and panel boxes.
Ground and bond electrical equipment, systems, and structures.
WHAT WILL YOU NEED?
Apprentice 2- Journeymen ticket
Must possess a valid class 5 driver's license & provide a clean driver abstract.
Must complete & pass a criminal background check.
Electrical experience in a residential multi-family environment is an asset.
Experience with electrical upgrades of older buildings will be considered an asset.
