Description

The Yorkton Tribal Council Child and Family Services (YTCCFS) Inc. is seeking an enthusiastic dedicated individual to fill the position of Maintenance Worker for the Ochapowace Safe Home.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Maintenance Worker will be responsible for the cultivation and care of landscaping the grounds around the facilities. The Maintenance Worker will also perform general maintenance and repairs inside and around the facilities, as well as other duties as described below. This position will be located on the Ochapowace Nation.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Grade 12 High School Diploma
Class 5 Drivers License
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Performs carpentry repairs, painting, drywalling etc. to all facilities
Perform maintenance on air conditioning equipment and furnaces (e.g., change air filters, clean debris)
Change lights, fix door handles, fix and repair doors
Responsible for vehicle maintenance/cleaning
Responsible for staining playground apparatus yearly
Must be able to lift heavy items
Must be able to stand on feet all day
Clean administration building three days a week
Work with minimal supervision
Ensure there is enough propane to operate the facilities and order propane as needed
Mows, trims, prunes, the grass and trees
Removes weeds as necessary, using chemical and backpack sprayer
Removes snow and ice to ensure workers and clients do not slip
Operates and maintains grounds equipment
Cleans work area and facility areas and disposes of waste
Inspect grounds for debris and remove debris to prevent injury
Perform other duties as required/requested
