Summer Student JobIf you are an energetic individual in need of summer employment in a non-routine work environment, the Saskatoon Housing Authority has an opportunity for you!
We are currently seeking a versatile individual to join our team as Yard Pride Coordinator.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
*Check our rental properties and encourage tenants to properly maintain the yards.
*Occasionally perform basic, minor pruning of trees and shrubs.
*Check for problems such as dead trees and broken sidewalk blocks.
*Check yards for lease violations.
*Assist with watering and mowing grass at vacant units as time permits.
*Assist with office work as time permits.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
*Good communications skills.
*Good judgement.
*Some knowledge and interest in trees, plants, flowers, shrubs, weeds and pruning.
*Horticulture student or experience in looking after a yard would be an asset.
*Have a roadworthy vehicle and valid driver's license and additional third party vehicle liability insurance for a minimum of $1,000,000.
*Ability to perform duties described above.
*Willingness/ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment when required in accordance with OH&S Act and Regulations.
*Current criminal background check and Driver's Abstract.
The compensation for this position is $17/hour plus per kilometer reimbursement.
