Description

Blackstrap Provincial Park
Sask Aquatic Adventures has been in operation for 2 years. Opening for a third season with the expansion to 4 new provincial parks in Saskatchewan. The setting is located at the beach, in the lake and on the inflatable water park. Lifeguards will spend majority of their shift patrolling on the waterpark, and while off the waterpark they will be operating the tills and sales and patrolling on paddle boards.  

Lifeguard  
Senior Lifeguard must have- current National Lifeguard Service Certification or Redcross Lifeguard Certification  
Junior Lifeguard must have- Bronze Cross and Medallion
All positions must have  
-Standard First Aid, CPR C/AED
-Flexible hours required
-Must have excellent verbal and written communication
-Criminal Check Required
-Must have Young Worker Readiness Certificate Course if under 16
-must be able to work outside in hot summer conditions and throughout mild rainy conditions.
  
Duties and Responsibilities  
-Attempt to prevent accidents through governing Aquatic Adventures policies and procedures.  
-Provides first aid treatment when required and handles emergency situations.
-Direct swimmers out of the lake in hazardous conditions.  
-Directs patrons off the park when their time is up.
-Supervise swimmers.
-Spotting hazards and preventing accidents.
-Monitor weather closely to ensure safety of swimmers.
-Enforces the rules and regulations of the facility and follows operational procedures.
-Report any unsafe condition(s) to immediate supervisor.  
-Ensures good public relations with public and other staff.
-Organize the setup and cleanup of the waterfront area and equipment each day.
-Park Maintenance and upkeep
-Operation of tills  

Full and part time positions available
Senior and Junior Lifeguard positions available
Accommodations at campground can be negotiated
Seasonal position- June to September (start and end date are variant on weather conditions)
