Description

We are currently seeking an individual for a full-time, permanent in-scope position of Maintenance Office Coordinator (FS). Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, this position  ensures tenant needs are met and provide support to Field Services and the Maintenance Department.

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

- Effective communications with tenants, contractors, SHA employees
- Provide clerical services as outlined by the Maintenance Manager while meeting deadlines
- Assess/purchase stock inventory, monitoring and tracking parts/supplies and ensuring the stock area is clean/organized
- Coordinate, purchase and distribute parts and supplies including sourcing replacement inventory  
- Provide clerical responsibilities for vacant & occupied locks and FOB changes while maintaining a key room in a clean/organized manner
- Provide Maintenance office phone coverage for breaks, vacation or as assigned. This includes dispatching Maintenance Technicians & contractors to service calls.
- Coordinates security needs. Provides ongoing maintenance of camera surveillance and entry door FOB systems, including timely surveillance information retrieval
- Clerical duties as assigned

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

- Grade 12 or equivalent, supplemented by (2) years experience in general maintenance
- Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel
- Working knowledge and experience dealing with the 'Residential Tenancies Act'
- General knowledge of inventory controls, purchasing and record keeping
- General knowledge of maintenance (locks, plumbing, electrical, carpentry and appliances)
- Valid drivers license and a roadworthy vehicle
- Interpersonal and telephone skills
- Time management skills
