Job Description: The Occupational Health Nurse (EHN) is accountable for assessment, planning, implementing and evaluation of the health and health risks for Health Care Providers.  The Occupational Health Nurse integrates clinical expertise with occupational health and public health methodologies to provide confident, ethical, autonomous decisions to fulfill the OHN scope of practice.  
Required Qualifications

Bachelor Degree in Nursing
Certification in Occupational Health or willing to obtain within 3 years of employment
Registered or eligible for registration with the Saskatchewan Registered Nurses Association (SRNA)
Valid Class 5 driver's license
Experience
Minimum 1 year experience in Occupational Health or Public Health Nursing
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Knowledge of immunology and biologicals used for immunizations
Knowledge of the Saskatchewan Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) Regulations
Demonstrates leadership and organizational skills
Knowledge of adult education and learning principles, and ability to integrate into programs and strategies including demonstrated ability to assess learning needs of clinicians.
Demonstrates ability to listen and to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
Knowledge of communicable disease control practices and procedures including: prevention, promotion, reporting responsibilities and related procedures and immunization practices, including up to date immunization competency
Ability to manage programs within budgetary parameters.
Ability to travel when necessary.
Knowledge of community health and public health concepts.
