The Saskatoon Trades & Skills Centre (STSC) was established in 2007 as part of a larger effort to breathe new life into our inner city. It is a not-for-profit organization to equip employers with skilled workers and equip adults with the skills and jobs they need to start a rewarding career. OBJECTIVE and SCOPE:
Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Executive Director leads the strategic vision, goals, and objectives of the organization. They will be accountable for the overall management of the organization and the success of its programs and internal operations including strategic planning, team and financial leadership. They will establish long-term relationships with all stakeholders including government, education, and community partners.
This is a great fit for someone who is a positive team leader, enjoys building relationships and networks within our community, and is passionate about building skills for a strong community by helping vulnerable to succeed.  

REQUIREMENTS
Education and Experience:
    Bachelors degree or 10 + years in a Sr. Leadership Role with a post secondary diploma or certificate in Business/Education.
    Past experience working with the vulnerable sector is a definite asset.
    Understands the concept of skill and trade-based programming.
    Stays abreast of the current labour trends and the competitive market.
    Firm understanding of politics and their processes, availability to funding sources and grants applications.
    Strong experience board governance and understanding of working within the not-for-profit sector.
    Positive team leader that will mentor, motivate, and coach their team.
    Ability to create and manage a complex balanced budget along with the ability to understand financial statements.
