The Financial and Consumer Affairs Authority of Saskatchewan (FCAA) protects consumers and the public interest and supports economic well-being through responsive marketplace regulation. The Securities Division of the FCAA protects investors by regulating the sale of securities and derivatives in Saskatchewan.
The Legal Branch of the Securities Division is seeking a qualified individual to provide administrative support. As a Legal Assistant, you will be responsible for:
- Establishing and maintaining accurate and up-to-date files;
- Preparing and formatting a variety of documents including general correspondence, rulings, orders, and briefs of law and arguments;
- Processing journal vouchers and debit memos;
- Processing, inputting and posting documents into the Securities divisions databases;
- Assisting with the organization of hearings which includes preparing exhibits, arranging for the service of documents, and preparing affidavits of service; and
- Posting documents to the FCAA website.
As our ideal team member, you will be a team player with excellent interpersonal and organizational skills. You will have gained the required knowledge for this position through the completion of post-secondary diploma in office administration or business. However, other relevant education and work experience will also be considered. Past experience in government, a public sector organization or a legal firm would also be an asset.
