The Downtown Regina Community Support Program (CSP) is a pilot program that will consist of a team of four civilians who will conduct year-round, daily circuits on foot in the Regina Downtown Business Improvement District. Traveling in pairs, this team will respond to non-emergent safety and security concerns within the downtown as well as connect with community members affected by mental health issues, addictions and homelessness, and support them through street outreach actions.
The Downtown Regina Community Support Program (CSP) Supervisor will be responsible for a wide range of duties related to the CSP including but not limited to:
Interviewing and hiring three additional CSP team members with the support of the Manager of Visitor Services;
Submitting bi-weekly time sheets for CSP team members on time and with a high degree of accuracy;
Booking all training for the CSP team members with support from the Manager of Visitor Services;
Creating daily, weekly and monthly work schedules for CSP team members;
Documenting daily interactions with a high degree of accuracy and confidentiality;
Creating and submitting data reports about the progress of the CSP on a monthly, quarterly and bi-yearly basis;
Participate in daily foot circuits in the downtown district.
Requirements & Qualifications
Hold a degree in any one of the areas: Human Justice, Social Work, Social Sciences, Corrections, Indigenous Studies, Police Studies, Health Sciences: Mental Health (a combination of education and work experience will be considered);
Three or more years of experience in a supervisory or management role;
Must be able to pass a basic background check and provide a criminal record and vulnerable sector check prior to being hired.
