Innovation, diminishing barriers to mental health supports and utilizing a humanistic, client centered approach are the milestones of this exciting job opportunity as a Rapid Response Mental Health Counsellor.
As a Rapid Response Mental Health Counsellor, you will be responsible for overseeing our single session, solution focused modality that matches individuals with counselling sessions as quickly and conveniently as possible.
You will be responsible for hosting sessions both within our agency, CFS but also throughout the community as we bridge our desire to bring counselling access to individuals within neighborhoods and throughout community partnerships.
We seek to attract a candidate who is innovative in their thought process with a good tool box full of counselling techniques that are client centered and strengths based. The ability to work with all ages, cultures and gender identities with a scope of knowledge in a variety of human needs and complexities is critical. This position requires that you are able to think on your feet, mitigate crisis and provide non-judgmental, progressive and empathetic counselling sessions.
This position is offered at fill time which includes the delivery of our single-session walk-in counselling service located in Regina and surrounding rural locations.
Applicants must have acquired one of the following from a reputable university: BSW with experience, MSW, MA in clinical or counselling psychology, MEd in counselling psychology; Be a member in good standing with an appropriate professional association; and be available to work some evenings/weekends. Job requires travel to rural sites in Regina area.
Valid Drivers license and reliable vehicle required.
