Description

PPCL is currently seeking a Cleaner to work at its project sites near Lloydminster, SK. The Cleaner ensures that all interior and exterior site facilities and surrounding grounds are clean and maintained. This position will work within well-defined procedures.

PPCL offers a 14-and-7 day schedule, 10-hour day shifts with competitive compensation, comprehensive benefits, and attractive Living Out Allowance (LOA) to those eligible.


Key Responsibilities:
    Empty garbage containers and ashtrays and remove waste materials from buildings;
    Service and clean washrooms, kitchen, and microwaves daily;
    Dust, polish, and wash windows and furniture;
    Spot wash walls and ceilings when necessary;
    Vacuum, spot and/or deep clean carpets;
    Sweep or damp-mop floors;
    On occasion, may be required to strip, seal, finish, and polish floors;
    When requested, move heavy furniture, equipment and supplies. This may include paper and items for recycle pick-ups;
    Ensure lawn and parking lot around building(s) clean of garbage;
    Acting safely, within construction site rules and guidelines;
    Perform other labour and basic activities.

Qualifications:
    No experience necessary
    Preference will be given to experience in a warehouse or manufacturing shop environment
    Experience with the use and maintenance of basic hand and power tools is an asset
    Construction Safety Training System (CSTS) is a required certification at this construction site
    Current H2S Alive certification is a required certification at this construction site
    As a condition of employment, employees are required upon hire to sign a Drug-Free Workplace Agreement, a Conflict of Interest Agreement, and Confidentiality and Invention Agreement
