Description

Position Summary:
Reporting to the Board of Directors of the Diocese of Saskatoon Catholic Foundation, the Executive Director (ED) will oversee a Foundation staff of three and is responsible for planning, implementing and evaluating the fundraising efforts in support of the parishes and diocesan services of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Saskatoon.  
Responsibilities:
    Develop, monitor, and execute a strategic plan for development.
    Manage an annual stewardship development plan and strategy.
    Cultivate and nurture relationships with current and potential donors.
    Strengthen and manage the Bishops Annual Appeal, Major and Planned Giving programs, parish giving programs, and other new fund development programs and/or appeals.
    Direct and manage the Foundations overall stewardship and development efforts to meet the annual foundation office objectives.
    Lead strategy development and research on all major gift prospects and participate in gift solicitations as required.
    Monitor trends in the community and adapt strategies as necessary.
    Develop and administer the annual operating budget for the Foundation.
    Provide regular progress updates to Foundation Board and/or designate.
    Manage and support Foundation Staff.
Qualifications:
    Has an understanding and is supportive of the mission of the Roman Catholic Church. Preference will be given to practising Catholics.
    Minimum of five years of progressive experience in fundraising and donor relations.
    Demonstrated leadership and human resource management skills.
    Strong written and oral communication skills.
    Demonstrated knowledge of federal and provincial legislation regarding charities and charitable status.
    Relevant post-secondary credentials and/or combination of education and experience.
Some availability or engagement may be required in early mornings, evenings and weekends, as well as the potential of occasional travel.
