Job Description: Under the direction of the Program Manager and as part of an interdisciplinary team, the Social Worker-BSW provides a range of screening, triage, assessment, treatment and case management services in the community to a population of  children, youth (and their families) with acute and chronic mental health and addiction presentations. The incumbent will provide consultation and coordination, evaluation of clinical interventions, supervision, and professional and public education regarding mental health issues and resources. As a senior practitioner, act as a resource for other professionals for mental health in the community.  The Social Worker-BSW, provides formal supervision (clinical, professional and administrative) to other employees and students.
Required Qualifications

Must possess a valid driver's license and vehicle
Recognized Bachelor Degree in Social Work
Experience
EXPERIENCE:
Requires a minimum of 2 years recent recognized direct clinical experience in a community mental health setting working with children/ youth and their families presenting with acute and chronic mental health and addiction problems.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Basic computer skills
Demonstrated above average knowledge and skill in assessment, triage, treatment, case management, community outreach and crisis interventions.
Knowledge of normal child and adolescent development and psychopathology.  Knowledge of family systems and models for therapeutic intervention strategies appropriate to the treatment of child, adolescent mental health diagnoses.
Working knowledge of therapeutic models, inclusive of trauma informed practice and grief and loss
Knowledge of interventions empirically validated or supported by best practice literatur
