The Alzheimer Society of Saskatchewan is seeking a dynamic, community minded individual as our Dementia Community Coordinator to take a leadership role in our participation in an University of Regina project - Dementia Supports in Rural Saskatchewan. The projects overall objective is to increase the social inclusion of people living with dementia and their care partners in the Yorkton area with an emphasis on rural communities.
Key responsibilities include:
Helps lead the participation in the project and other awareness initiatives while aligning with the overall strategic and operational goals;
Within the Yorkton and surrounding area, lead awareness and community engagement efforts with local governments, businesses, organizations, and the general public,
Organizes and delivers presentations for local public, community, and stakeholder audiences in the Yorkton and surrounding area;
Assists in the development of key messages and other promotional efforts in support of the Dementia Supports in Rural Saskatchewan project and the Societys other awareness initiatives;
Assists in the timely reporting requirements of the project to both external and internal stakeholders;
Ensures the meaningfully engagement of people living with dementia and their care partners to ensure, whenever possible, they are full participants in the Societys involvement in the project.;
Ensures the consistent and accurate collection of data and associated management of relationships according to the Societys data management standards.
