Description

CFS Regina is seeking an Intake Coordinator to join our innovative Counselling Team.  

Reporting to the Manager of Counselling Services, the Intake Coordinator works at the very center of our Counselling Services.    The Coordinator is the main point of contact for Counselling Services and is responsible for in-depth screening of clients through a collaborative screening process.

The Coordinator provides supportive intervention and mitigation in distress and crisis situations. The Coordinator plays a vital role in monitoring clinical caseloads and assigning clients based on the preliminary screening.

The Intake coordinator evaluates the clients needs and explains financial assistance options available.

In addition to having excellent verbal and written communication skills, our intake coordinator must be able to multitask and handle working in a high-stress environment with a calm, empathetic and professional demeanor.

The Intake coordinator often works with clients from a variety of backgrounds. The applicant must demonstrate ability to be aware of, and sensitive to, cultural, ethnic and economic diversity and skilled at handling clients who are dealing with difficult problems and life situations.

Applicants must have acquired one of the following from a reputable university:  BSW with relevant experience, MSW, MA in clinical or counselling psychology, MEd in counselling psychology; Be a member in good standing with an appropriate professional association; and be available to work some evenings/weekends.
