Description

Inclusion Saskatchewan (INSK) is a grassroots, community-based organization that supports individuals with intellectual disabilities in Saskatchewan. INSK is seeking an Assistant Executive Director (AED) to assist with overseeing the day-to day operations of Inclusion Saskatchewan and the Saskatchewan Institute on Community Living (SICL) as delegated by the Executive Director. Key aspects of this diverse portfolio include: supporting strategic planning activities, including ongoing quality improvement; providing leadership in operational planning; and monitoring operating budgets and expenses and special projects. The AED will assist in the development, recruitment, coordination, evaluation and supervision of INSK programs and staff as required. The AED understands that these and all related activities are undertaken following discussions with the Board of Directors and the Executive Director to establish the Association's direction.

The successful candidate should have:
- A relevant Bachelors degree in relating fields including, but not limited to, Social Work, Psychology, Education, Business Management
- Advocacy experience is essential
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Previous management experience is essential
- A valid drivers license
- An awareness of the issues surrounding individuals with intellectual disabilities
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Applications
- Must provide a clean criminal record check

Special Skills and Abilities:
- Solid knowledge of the requirements for successful programming for people with intellectual disabilities
- Self-Motivated, capable of supervising and working on multiple projects, with minimal supervision
- Demonstrated communication/interpersonal and organizational skills
- Must have a well-developed sense of urgency including a proven ability to work to strict deadlines
- Maintains a high degree of integrity
