Our small-but-mighty team at the Insurance Brokers Association of Saskatchewan (IBAS) is currently accepting applications to fill the newly created role of Director, Operations, based in Regina.
WHO WE NEED
Were looking for a 'doer' -- someone who can grab the bull by the horns and translate strategy into action. Youll need to be detail-oriented, with strong accounting or bookkeeping acumen (ideally in QuickBooks). Youll need to expertly manage complex relationships. And youll need to be able to anticipate and navigate a fast-changing business landscape. While some association experience would be helpful, having the right drive and attitude are far more important qualities.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Your job will be to work alongside the President & CEO to oversee organizational performance. This dynamic portfolio includes accountability for all fiscal operations (A/P, A/R, reporting, audit, payroll), office operations (IT, equipment, lease and vendor management, corporate filings), and member services. Direct management and oversight of staff will be required.
YOUR BIGGEST CHALLENGE
While this is an exciting, rewarding role for the right individual, it comes with its own set of challenges. Perhaps most importantly: The demands on your time will be high. Youll be pulled in several different directions, and youll need to prioritize and multi-task without skipping a beat or sacrificing quality.
