The Water Security Agency (WSA) is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our Irrigation Development team. Reporting to the Executive Director, Irrigation Development, an employee in this job will manage components of irrigation projects, including the Westside Irrigation Project. You will help lead internal and external multidisciplinary teams and provide project management expertise in the engineering, procurement and construction of projects as part of Water Security Agencys wider water management portfolio.
This is a management job requiring thorough technical, administrative, managerial expertise and a demonstrated ability to apply judgment and discretion in a variety of situations. You will be required to make decisions associated with degrees of risk and consequences for WSA infrastructure, stakeholders and the public. You will develop, review and update construction budgets and continually identify budget pressures and opportunities.
As the successful candidate, you will have a degree in Civil Engineering or similar engineering discipline; a licence to practice professional engineering from the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Saskatchewan (APEGS); Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred and 6-9 years of progressively more responsible directly related experience.
