Since its inception in 1989 as a transformer maintenance and repair shop, PTI Transformers has grown to be the largest privately-owned Canadian manufacturer of electrical power and distribution transformers.
We operate manufacturing facilities in Regina and Winnipeg, and a warehouse in Mississauga. We produce two basic lines of oil-filled transformers. The first is our small distribution transformers, which can be found in residential areas. The second is our large distribution transformers, which are used in places such as malls, mines and hospitals and are each customized to meet our customers needs. Our production facility is clean and well-organized with a focus on teamwork, quality and innovation. PTI is seeking candidates for a shop labour position. Candidates will have successfully completed Grade 12, and possess a mechanical aptitude as well as familiarity with both hand and power tools. To be successful in this position you must show confidence and competence while working independently to meet the monthly quota set out by the department supervisor. Knowledge of workplace health and safety, using hand tools, time management, problem solving skills and an attention to details are also required.
We operate only one shift from 7:30 am to 5:00 pm and shop employees enjoy having every second Friday as an earned day off. PTI has a competitive total compensation package including company-paid benefits and a pension plan.
