We invite applicants to apply for a 12 month term position within our well known and well recognized Family Support Program. There is a possibility that this position will be extended or become permanent.
In this program, you will be responsible for supporting families within their home and throughout the community with a focus on family reunification, family preservation and family cohesion.
Working with families experiencing addiction, mental health needs, familial violence, housing/food insecurity and potential child protection involvement is a large part of this position.
We require someone that is empathetic and supports individuals and families with a strengths based, client centered approach while utilizing a trauma informed lens.
The main responsibilities of employees of this classification are to provide in-home support services to a limited number of families with children birth-15 to conduct group programs and to provide assistance to families that will build on their strengths, enhance parent child attachment and nurture day to day stability of the family.
