THE POSITION
This is a senior position requiring strong analytical skills. This individual must have diverse work experience working in child and family services as the role requires quick, sound decision-making under pressure with consideration of multiple stakeholder concerns and legal obligations.
The Supervisor is to adhere to Accreditation standards and to ensure that the Well-Being Program is effective through monitoring and evaluating program services. The role will work collaboratively with community leadership and senior staff to support clients and families through advocacy with the Ministry of Social Services.
RESPONSIBILITIES
-Provides direction, consultation, and supervision to the child and family services (CFS) workers on all case management files;
-Develops strong teams to carry out the child and family services strategies by recruiting, selecting, training and on-boarding new employees as required;
-The supervisor will provide leadership, training, support and direction to CFS support staff providing coaching, mentoring and developing of existing professions with the program; communicating performance and client expectations and standards and ensuring applicable policies, procedures and best practices are adhered to.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
-Post-Secondary degree in social work from an accredited post-secondary institution;
-Five (5) years child and family services supervisory experience;
-Three (3) years experience in delivering front line child and family services and working with First Nations children, families and communities;
Must be a member in good standing or eligible for registration with the Saskatchewan Association of Social Work within 6 months of employment.
