Description

Main Duties: The Director will be responsible for the design, development and implementation of recruitment and learning & development strategies, initiatives and programs that align with SIGAs overall strategic goals and priorities while incorporating best practice industry trends. The incumbent will be a key member of the HR Leadership Team and will provide direction to leading edge recruitment strategies and design and administration of training and leadership development initiatives. Responsibilities include: Lead the design, development and implementation of SIGAs Recruitment Strategy. Lead the design, development and implementation of SIGAs Learning & Development Strategy. Lead a team of talented Human Resources Professionals, ensuring the delivery of effective and efficient services. Participate on other projects and activities as required, in support of SIGAs Human Resources Strategies.
Education: Successful completion of post-secondary education (or equivalent) in Human Resources, Business, or related field. Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) designation is desired
Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years' previous related work experience in human resources. Minimum of 3 years of people management experience
Strong knowledge and application of general HR policies and procedures. Advanced knowledge and application of employment legislation, including employment standards, occupational health & safety, and human rights. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to lead, influence and resolve conflict
