The SPSA is seeking an organized, results-oriented, team player for the position of Manager, Workplace Safety and Training Coordination, in the Human Resources Division / Safety and Training Branch. The position, reporting to the Manager, Safety and Training, will be responsible for:
Overseeing the SPSAs Occupational Health and Safety Program and Training Program coordination and delivery.
Supporting a robust safety management system and implementing the SPSA safety culture.
Ensuring compliance of OH&S Regulations and other applicable legislation; including risk management, committees, inspections and investigations, and changes in legislation.
Leading the Agencys Work Safe Mission Zero by developing and supporting meet the Mission Zero programing, reduce injuries in the workplace, and gather statistical information for the Agencys annual report.
Conducting internal training needs analysis and structured course reviews for internal training ensure compliance with Agencys provincial legislation, and national and provincial certification requirements. This includes setting provincial instructor qualification requirement and researching and recommending training programs.
Reviewing and prioritizing the SPSA provincial course delivery calendar meet national and provincial certification requirements.
Maintaining SPSA provincial certifications program / process for all-hazard agency response.
Overseeing and maintaining safety and training data and statistics. This includes the Agencys training career development management system, PSC Client Incident Report and Investigation Application.
Providing detailed support to SPSA quarterly (and annual) reporting.
Assisting with succession planning and career development plans for Agency staff.
