The Partnerships and Workforce Planning Branch has a twelve (12) month term opportunity for a Senior Policy Analyst. We are seeking a highly motivated, results-oriented individual to provide research, analysis, and recommendations on key policy issues related to First Nations and Mtis health.
Reporting to the Director, Intergovernmental and Indigenous Relations, you will have responsibility to:
Prepare clear, concise and timely written materials (briefing notes, speaking notes, reports and issues papers) related to First Nations and Mtis health;
Work with First Nations and Mtis organizations, the Saskatchewan Health Authority and the federal government on health issues that related to First Nations and Mtis citizens;
Collect and analyze relevant data, trends and issues to make accurate and timely decisions and recommendations on a variety of policies and programs;
Clearly and accurately explain complex legislation, policies, programs and processes to others, both verbally and in writing; and
Collaborate with co-workers, agencies, and others to consistently meet program and client needs in a manner appropriate for the audience.
Typically, the knowledge and skills required for this position would be obtained through:
A Bachelors degree in a social science, health administration, or a related discipline along with experience in public policy development.
