The Vice-President Quality Care and Safety (VPQCS) is a key leader in health care, partnering with system leaders to achieve JRI and provincial healthcare goals. The role serves as the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO), reporting to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), and is responsible for contributing to the development and achievement of strategy by articulating gaps and needs. The VPQCS supports strategy through the development and execution of operational and business plans, including cascading, monitoring, reporting, and course correction of same.
The VPQCS demonstrates strong leadership to enable an innovative and positive working climate through a client-directed culture. The VPQCS must work cross functionally within the portfolio, across the organization and system-wide to support operations. The VPQCS will develop partnerships and work closely with system and community partners.
Education:
University degree in Nursing with a preference for completion of Post-Graduate training
Licensure or eligible for licensure with the Saskatchewan Registered Nursing Association
Experience:
Experience, at an operational level, as a leader who has developed and led innovative planning and programs in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment
10+ years in a leadership position with progressive advancement
Valid Class 5 Drivers license as travel within the province of Saskatchewan is required
Experience related to program development and/or health care with gerontology as an asset.
