Description

The Executive Director of NorthSask Special Needs (NSN) is responsible for all aspects of the organization's operations. The Executive Director provides direction and supervision to Program Managers and personnel to ensure all NSN programs and services meet client needs and are delivered in accordance with the legislation, internal rules of governance, administrative and program policies, procedures, approved budgets and contracts.
The position is responsible for:
managing changing priorities and tasks with competing timelines;
balancing doing and planning to ensure operations are viable now and in future;
supporting the Board of Directors;
implementing strategic direction toward the achievement of NSNs Vision and Mission;
ensuring financial controls and sound book-keeping procedures;
all operations, service delivery and human resource functions; and
public relations and stakeholder, government and funder relationships.

The successful candidate will have the following:
interest in working with people with intellectual disabilities;
superior analytical, leadership and problem solving skills;
understanding of crisis prevention and intervention techniques;
ability to use relevant software and accounting programs;
ability to develop, implement, and evaluate developmental programs;
effective verbal and written communication, community development and public speaking skills;and
ability to develop and manage a budget and  direct short, medium, and long-term plans
