Description

This is a senior management position responsible for the daily operations of the Corporation. The General Manager reports directly to the Board of Directors and is responsible for the implementation of the Board's strategic vision.

Responsibilities include:
-Financial Management of the corporations portfolios
-Compliance with the Corporation's policies and procedures
-Leadership and management of professional staff
-Initiation, implementation, supervision and outcomes of a variety of programs, projects and services designed to facilitate economic development in the Visions North region
-Administration of contractual obligations including federal and provincial service agreements
-Resource to the Board of Directors
-Effective communication with the Board, partners, communities and other stakeholders

Qualifications:
-Commerce, Business Administration degree
-Should have significant formal accounting knowledge and experience (preferred)
-Experience in commercial financing and collections
-Senior management experience
-Knowledge and experience in community economic development
-Ability to create and nurture strategic partnerships
-Ability to work with volunteers and a variety of stakeholders
-Proficient with PC based software including Simply Accounting , Microsoft Office(Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook

The applicant must have exceptional interpersonal skills and the ablity to thrive in a team environment. Proposal and business plan development and evaluation are also essential skills.
Previous public speaking experience and training skills are assets. Candidate must have valid drivers license, be willing and able to travel. The ideal candidate will have a passion for small business, economic growth in Northern Saskatchewan, and working in a multicultural environment. The applicant must be bondable.
