POSTION SUMMARY: Reporting to the VP, Development & Engagement, the Marketing Student will work independently and proactively to assist in the planning and implementation of marketing and communication projects related to fund development. Along with the ability to maintain a positive attitude through change and multiple priorities, the Marketing Student will develop excellent communication, computer, and organizational skills.
POSITION REPORTING:
Reports to the VP of Development & Engagement
HOURS OF WORK: 30 hours per week
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
1) Assist with the set-up and organization of special projects related to Fund Development and Administration including Women of Distinction and Capital Expansion Campaign
2) Provide input into marketing and promotions across departments
3) Under supervision, plan, curate and execute social media, including Instagram, Facebook and website updates
4) Assist with marketing and communications related to YWCA Saskatoon's largest event, Women of Distinction
5) Build relationships with members, donors, volunteers and staff across the organizations.
6) Obtain an overall knowledge of department and community needs.
7) Select data entry related to fundraising.
8) Perform other duties related to the departments as assigned.
9) Work as part of a collaborative team.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Must be under the age of 30 as position is part of the Canada Summer Jobs Grant
Preference to candidates pursuing a Business Degree, Diploma, Certificate and looking to build marketable experience and skills for future jobs in business and marketing.
