We are very excited to be growing our Sandbox Mutual Insurance family. We have a permanent full-time position of Mail and Facilities Clerk and are on the search for our team member. Reporting to the Manager, Broker Services, the successful candidate will provide support to mailroom activities, reception, and building maintenance.
As a Mail and Facilities Clerk, YOU Will Be Responsible For
Sorting computer printouts and preparing documents for mailing.
Opening, sorting, and delivering incoming mail and faxes
Collecting, sorting, and processing outgoing mail.
Preparing, recording, and delivering registered letters to Post Office. Pick up mail from the Post Office.
Locating policies for incoming mail. Filing policies and documents.
Training other clerical staff.
Ordering, maintaining, receiving, and restocking inventory of office supplies including but not limited to general items, envelopes, coffee, and PPE items. Reconciling orders and preparing invoices.
Performing minor building maintenance as required including, but not limited to, general cleaning (coffee machines, cafeteria, etc.), maintaining safe surfaces (shoveling entrances, cleaning spills and surface hazards from floor ways), and directing maintenance contractors when on-site.
Updating and maintaining telephone distribution lists for Sandbox staff including extension lists, department lists, queue categories, and other lists as required.
Providing support and back up to the Senior Mail Clerk and to reception.
Providing support to the Manager, Claims and Facilities as required.
Performing related duties as required.
What We Need From You!
Completion of Grade 12 education.
Six months experience in an office.
Effective keyboarding skills.
