Job Description: Under the direction of the Manager of Community Adult Recovery Services (CARS), the Social Worker MSW Sr will work primarily as a member of a multi-disciplinary team within CARS to provide individual, couple, group counselling to adult clients with a severe and persistent mental illness and/or addiction issues. The incumbent will provide clinical supervision to various therapy disciplines, co-ordinate group programs and services, team meetings, supervision of in scope staff and maintain community partnerships.
The incumbent will provide assessment, support and therapy to this adult population who are in need of mental health services. Home visits may be offered as needed and appropriate to reduce barriers for the client.

Required Qualifications

Masters Degree in Social Work
Registered or eligible for registration with the Saskatchewan Association of Social Workers (SASW)
Experience
-Two years' experience working in a mental health setting with adults.
-Training and experience in providing clinical supervision, consultation and training to other mental health professionals considered an asset

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team
Advanced skill in a variety of treatment modalities, working with individuals, couples and groups
Demonstrated competence in both clinical and administrative staff supervision
Demonstrated competence in social work clinical practice in a mental health and addictions service setting
Demonstrated openness to learning new perspectives and approaches and to utilizing best practice approaches.
Excellent interpersonal skills with clients and co-workers
Extensive knowledge of variou
