Applications are being accepted for a tenure-track position in Psychology with a child development emphasis at the Assistant or Associate Professor rank, with a projected start date of January 1, 2025 or July 1, 2025, depending on the candidates availability. The successful candidate will be named the Lois M. Brockman Professor in Child Development. This position title is subject to review and renewal every three years in conjunction with the associated benefits of research funding and a reduced teaching load. Requirements for the position include a Ph.D. in psychology with an emphasis on child development (completed by the time of the appointment). The successful candidate will demonstrate excellence or the promise of excellence in teaching, research, undergraduate and graduate supervision, as well as administrative and professional service. Specific experience with community-based research methods, EDI-oriented research methods, and/or Indigenous centered research and methods is an asset. The successful candidate will also demonstrate the ability to contribute to STMs distinctive Minor in Social Justice and the Common Good. Finally, successful candidates will demonstrate an understanding of and/or interest in the Catholic intellectual tradition.
