As an Employment Consultant, you'll help individuals facing barriers to employment secure jobs. You'll assess clients' skills, develop tailored career plans, assist in job searches, and provide skill development and advocacy.
Hours of Work are Tuesday-Friday 28 Hours per week.
Responsibilities:
Assess clients' skills, interests, and barriers.
Develop personalized career plans.
Assist in job search activities and prepare clients for interviews.
Identify skill gaps and provide training or referrals.
Advocate for clients with employers and community organizations.
Connect clients with relevant resources and support services.
Monitor client progress and provide ongoing support.
Maintain accurate records and prepare reports.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in relevant field preferred.
Experience working with individuals with barriers to employment.
Understanding of job search strategies and employment laws.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Empathy, patience, and resilience.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database management.
Working Conditions:
Hours: Tuesday to Friday, 28 hours per week.
Travel within the community may be necessary.
Ability to handle emotionally challenging situations.
Must have Class 5 Drivers license and reliable vehicle
