REQUIRES A:
SUMMER STUDENT:  SYSTEM SUPPORT TECHNICIAN (TWO POSITIONS)
Summer Student Term:  June 1, 2024  August 31, 2024

The System Support Technician (Summer Student) will be a member of a team of professionals in the Information Systems department.  Primary responsibility for the position will be in providing technical support for computers, peripherals, and network systems used in the division.  

Reporting to the Supervisor - Technical Operations and Support, the successful applicant will have Grade XII, plus current enrollment in a recognized one or two year technical school program in computer science, information technology or electronics technology.  Knowledge of computer hardware and operating systems software, including MS Windows desktop/server along with MS Office suite is required.  Knowledge and experience in local area and routed wide area networking and TCP/IP is also required.  Previous directly related experience is considered an asset.
