Job Summary:
Our Finance team is seeking an individual with accounting experience, who has strong attention to detail, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and an ability to build effective relationships with both internal and external customers.
The Accounting Officer is responsible for a variety of general accounting functions, including:
-Accounts payable duties (data entry and payment processing such as; data entry, maintaining open purchase order listings, invoice batching, working with organization leaders on payment approvals, running the cheque process),
- Accounts receivable Duties (daily deposit process, data entry, receipting, maintaining aged receivable listings, following up on outstanding balances, working with organization leads on requests for invoicing)
-Supporting month-end and year-end close processes (preparing journal entries, adjustments and account reconciliations);
-Responding to customer inquiries regarding their accounts;
-Maintaining files and documentation,
-Providing support to other Finance Team members, as needed.
-Analytical review (reasonability testing, and quantitative analysis
-Data Entry and tracking of remittances from participating employers
Experience:
-Three years experience in accounting role
-Accounting or Finance Certificate/Diploma is an asset
-Experience with MS Dynamics and/or Oracle Systems
-Proficiency in Microsoft Office systems such as Word, Outlook, and Excel
