Description

Kanuka Thuringer LLP is seeking a fulltime position which includes shared receptionist and clerking duties.
We will also give consideration to applicants who are seeking part-time work with a minimum of 25 hours per week from 9:30 AM - 2:30 PM Monday to Friday.

Reception encompasses a wide variety of duties and responsibilities including answering the phone, greeting clients at the office and providing assistance to lawyers and administrative staff as required.  A professional demeanour and a suitable personal presentation are key as the receptionist has the opportunity to create an excellent first impression of the firm.

Clerking involves mobility throughout the various floors, utilizing stairs, to move documents and office supplies internally as well as making deliveries to nearby financial institutions, other law firms and the court houses.  

If you possess excellent computer skills, including Word and Excel, and enjoy working directly with the public and as part of a small team, this position will be of interest to you.

Previous experience in a professional office setting is an asset as well as a clerical and/or administrative background. An excellent command of the English language both spoken and written is essential.

Daily duties of this position may include, but are not limited to:
-answering the main reception phone and handling calls professionally
-general concierge duties such as tidying meeting rooms and public areas and being mindful of overall office appearance at all times. Setting up food and drinks for in-house meetings.
-photocopying/scanning/binding documents
-organizing incoming office supplies
-filing books & documents in legal library
-sorting & delivering incoming mail, processing outgoing mail
-lending administrative assistance to legal assistants
-tidying kitchen areas & maintaining adequate levels of supplies
