Description

The YMCA of Regina is an Imagine Canada accredited non-profit charity open to all and dedicated to building strong kids, strong families and strong communities. The YMCA of Regina excels at delivering programming focused on our three pillars of service; health and fitness, childcare and community development.

Mentoring is a two-pronged approach, designed to engage youth in the community. The Mentorship Outreach Coordinator will work closely with the GM of Community Development along with the Director of Youth Services to develop, organize and implement group mentorship services, including but not limited to the YMCA Youth Leadership Academy. This role will also work to develop, plan and execute a youth advisory committee to support the implementation of YMCA youth programming.

Responsibilities:
* Ability to lead small groups of youth in activities that develop positive self-esteem, resiliency, social skills development, etc.
* Communicating with parents/guardians of program participants
* Maintaining updated information and reporting on our established case management database
* Communicate program successes and activities
* Monthly tracking and program evaluations
* On-boarding and supporting mentorship staff
* Develop, foster and maintain relationships with community partners and key stakeholders

Requirements:
* Experience in facilitating youth programming, and ability to work with youth demonstrating challenging behaviors
* Experience communicating and building positive relationships with community partners and stakeholders
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* A minimum of 3-5 years of program planning and development
* Managing, mentoring and providing effective leadership to youth
* Criminal Record Check including vulnerable sector prior to first day of work and dated no more than 3 months before hire date
* First Aid & CPR
* Must have a valid drivers license and access to reliable transportation
