Description

Red Earth Education Authority requires teachers for Kindergarten, Grade 1, 2, 3 and  Grade 6 teaching positions of which there are 5 vacancies for the 2024 -2025 school year. Employment will commence August 28, 2024.

The teacher is responsible for teaching grade level curriculum. Land-based integration is mandatory in programming as the priority is to instill cultural and linguistic competencies in our students.
Minimum Bachelor of Education and Professional A Certificate
Provide a criminal record (CPIC) and vulnerable sector check.
Possess a valid drivers license.
Collaborate with teachers, land base coordinators, and utilize local resource people including knowledge keepers and elders to develop units of study that integrates RECN language, culture, traditions, and history.
Differentiate and design programs of study, instructional plans, and assessment for grade level assignment.
Manage the classroom to create a safe and productive learning environment.
Follow the Saskatchewan Curriculum.
Knowledge of formative and summative assessment and the ability to create rubrics.
Mamawe Awasis Elementary School has approximately 350 students PK to Grade 6. Teacher housing is available for rent. There are approximately 1600 total membership residing in the First Nation. Red Earth Cree Nation is located 87 kilometres east of Nipawin, Saskatchewan on Highway 55.
