Description

Zagim Anishinabk is a progressive First Nations, located around 22 KM Northeast of the Town of Grenfell in Saskatchewan.

SUMMARY: Reporting to the Director of Lands and Infrastructure, the Housing Project Manager develops & executes Zagim Anishinabeks housing projects & other band sponsored capital projects. The position oversees housing units & governing programs.

DUTIES:
Provides leadership and consultation on the planning, development, & implementation of housing projects, including scope & capacity issues & recommendations, mandatory approvals, planning fund approvals and ensures that program mandates are met, and expenditures are within budget.
Prepares and recommends strategies and priorities to address potential issues arising from housing project initiatives, and conducts business case reviews, research and evaluation of affordable housing project and program submissions.
Uses diplomacy and strong communication, presentation and relationship building skills to create and maintain a network of stakeholders including partners.
Leads and supervises the work of divisions staff, including matters pertaining to labour relations, staff development, corporate and division policies and procedures and standards.
Comprehensive understanding of Indigenous housing and awareness of social, economic, and political trends affecting the provision

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
A Minimal Diploma in Business would be an asset.
Experience in Construction Management, Property Management, or related field.
Strong project management background in housing construction, facility maintenance, renovations, etc.
Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations as they relate to housing management, maintenance and repair.
Ability to develop and maintain budgets, research, apply for funding, & complete reporting requirements for funders.
Punctual, dependable, and reliable.
Class 5 Drivers License.
Criminal record check & drug test prior to employment.
