Description

The City of Melfort is vibrant city in Saskatchewan, offering its residents and visitors a high quality of life. As the Community Development Coordinator, you will report to the Director of Community Services and shall be responsible for the administration, planning, implementation and promotion of Economic Development and Tourism programs, and Special Community Events of the City of Melfort.  This position utilizes various social and community development approaches to work collaboratively with residents, various stakeholders, and local and regional community organizations.

The ideal candidate will have:
To qualify for this position, you will need a minimum of 3 years related experience; including 1 year in a municipal role. You will need a degree, diploma, or certificate in public administration, recreation administration, economic development or a related field.
Additionally, you must have a valid Class 5 driver's license and a satisfactory criminal record check.  

Other expected qualifications include:
- Through knowledge of administrative and management principles, practice and techniques including budgeting.
-Familiarity with business marketing and promotion, tourism promotion and development, and economic development issues and strategies.
-Extensive computer skills and expertise in Microsoft Office 365 suite.
